Do you often find yourself trapped in a cycle of feeling inadequate? Whether it's your relationships, career, bank account, or even your physical appearance, do you constantly feel like they fall short? Do you struggle with comparing yourself to where you believe you should be, where you have been, or where you think you should be at this point in your life? Are you longing for the arrival of true love, wondering when it will enter your life? Do you frequently encounter unmet expectations, both from your partner and from yourself? And have you yet to heal from childhood trauma that still lingers within you? These are all profound subjects that I delve into with Kevin Patterson, a yogi and psychospiritual coach. What I find intriguing about his approach to therapy is his unique and holistic nature. Rather than a purely clinical perspective, he acknowledges that each person possesses a distinctive story, emphasizing that we cannot simply rely on medication or quick fixes like band-aids to solve our problems. The pain, the underlying wound, will persist unless we equip ourselves with tools, cultivate a sense of community, and seek support to guide us on our individual paths to healing. I am thrilled to share this enlightening conversation with you, as Kevin Patterson, a divine masculine soul, imparts his wisdom. I encourage you to prepare your notebook and pen, as you will undoubtedly glean valuable insights. And remember, if this episode resonates with you, I urge you to share your review and pass it along to someone dear to you. It has the potential to transform their life! Let's face it. Relationships can be hard as hell. Each one of us navigates our emotions, fears, weaknesses, and insecurities. The test we often get when faced with ANY relationship is the battle of EGO. When there is trauma in a connection, we begin to doubt ourselves, and our worthiness, we begin to feel quite unsafe and insecure. Both parties need to take responsibility for what they are bringing or not bringing to the table. This can be the best work of your entire life. Taking full responsibility but also realizing what is NOT yours and when enough is enough. Boundaries are required for self in any relations we are with. If we don't know who we are, and what we deserve and be able to communicate that with a partner or friend, we will never get past the level of superficiality. It requires next level conversations and behavior shifts to see beyond the ego illusions. Join me as I interview Becoming Her Podcast Host and Entrepreneur Victoria McKew as we navigate the muddy waters of trauma from a relationship. What it looks like and HOW to grow through it. Please share this podcast with anyone you know who may be suffering silently. You can also follow Victorias Podcast which I highly recommend!
People come in and out of our lives for many different reasons in a variety of seasons. Sometimes it's to protect you, inspire you, or get you to switch the direction of your life ship. Trusting that everything happens just exactly as it's supposed to be is the key to enjoying our life more and even when that means others disapprove of your choices or will shame you for doing things that are the right way for your life. We all have lessons to learn and teachings to share. That's part of being human and living the human experience. Just try to not take it too personally. It can be tricky.
The magic of believing is a powerful influence on all of our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes which shape our reality. When you harness the power of your mind and cultivate positive beliefs, you can manifest all your desires and achieve your goals. Remember, the magic of believing is not about wishful thinking or expecting miracles to happen without effort. It is a mindset that empowers you to tap into your inner potential, take action, and create the life you desire. By cultivating positive beliefs and aligning your thoughts, emotions, and actions, you can unlock the magic within you and transform your life.
In this episode we talk about everything being a mirror for us is based on our external experiences which oftentimes are a reflection of our internal state. The way we perceive and interpret the world around us is shaped by our beliefs, thoughts, and emotions.
For example, if we have a negative belief about ourselves, we may see negative qualities in others, even if they don't actually possess those qualities. Conversely, if we have a positive belief about ourselves, we may see positive qualities in others, even if they don't necessarily exhibit those qualities.
This is because our perceptions are filtered through our own internal lens, which can distort or amplify certain aspects of our experiences. Therefore, when we encounter challenges, conflicts, or even positive experiences, they can serve as a mirror for us to reflect on our own internal state and the beliefs, thoughts, and emotions that shape our perceptions.
By recognizing the ways in which our external experiences are a reflection of our internal state, we can gain greater insight into ourselves and work on developing a more positive and constructive internal mindset.
