The journey from the pit to the penthouse is often marked by challenges, setbacks, and obstacles, as well as moments of growth, learning, and resilience. It requires a willingness to confront and overcome difficult situations, as well as a sense of hope and belief in oneself.
Some strategies that can help when working towards a transformation from the pit to the penthouse include setting clear goals, developing a strong support network of family, friends, or professionals, practicing self-care and self-compassion, and taking action steps towards positive change, even if they are small. Join us in this episode to learn about some of Christy's pit to penthouse and then penthouse to pit moments.
It's important to remember that everyone's journey is unique, and there is no one "right" way to make this transformation. It may take time, patience, and perseverance, but with hard work and determination, it is possible to move from a difficult situation to a much better one.
Taking things personally means interpreting other people's actions or words as direct attacks on oneself, rather than seeing them as a reflection of the other person's own thoughts, feelings, or experiences. This can lead to feeling hurt, angry, defensive, or upset. For example, if someone criticizes your work, you might take it personally and feel like they're attacking you as a person, rather than simply providing feedback on your work. Or if someone cancels plans with you, you might assume that it's because they don't like you, rather than considering that they might have other things going on in their life. Taking things personally can be a sign of low self-esteem or a lack of confidence. It can also be related to anxiety or a tendency to worry about what other people think. However, it's important to remember that not everything is about you, and other people's actions or words are often more about them than they are about you. Learning to not take things personally involves developing a more objective perspective and recognizing that other people's behavior is often influenced by factors outside of your control. This can involve working on your own self-esteem and confidence, as well as practicing mindfulness and self-awareness to become more aware of your own thoughts and reactions.
Have you ever experienced feeling stagnant, without any motivation to move forward in any direction? Perhaps you've found yourself comparing your current situation to what you consider to be better times. The feeling that your life lacks purpose or direction can be overwhelming, but it's important to remember that you're not alone. Rekindling that hunger for life begins with desire, but where does that desire come from? In this chat, let's delve into this topic of hunger and vulnerability together.
To expand on this topic, it's worth considering that while external factors can certainly impact our motivation and sense of purpose, our internal mindset and beliefs also play a significant role. Sometimes, we may find ourselves struggling with feelings of self-doubt or a lack of confidence in our abilities. This can make it difficult to feel motivated or inspired to pursue our goals.
One way to start cultivating that desire for life is by exploring what truly motivates and inspires us on a personal level. This can involve reflecting on our values and what is most important to us, as well as identifying our strengths and passions. By focusing on what we truly care about and what makes us feel alive, we can begin to create a sense of direction and purpose for ourselves.
It's important to remember that the journey towards finding our hunger and drive in life is not always a linear one. It may involve setbacks and challenges, but by remaining open and curious about ourselves and the world around us, we can continue to grow and evolve.

In doing this we actually do come closer to God because we are awakening parts of ourselves that need healing and sometimes only at our worst do we cry out for God. Why? Why do so many only call out when they are at a breaking point instead of calling every day and allowing a relationship with source to lead them. This episode is all about being reactive and proactive behaviors which are two different approaches to dealing with situations, problems, or challenges.
Reactive refers to a response that is triggered by an event or a problem that has already occurred. It involves responding to the situation as it unfolds, rather than taking action to prevent it from happening in the first place. How many times a day, week or month are you reacting to what's happening in your life? Learning how to be aware and present for what's really occurring is the challenge and gift that we all face but once we overcome we can live more freely and more in our truth.. Proactive, on the other hand, refers to taking action in advance to prevent problems from occurring or to take advantage of opportunities. It involves anticipating potential problems or challenges and taking steps to address them before they happen.
In general, a proactive approach is considered to be more effective than a reactive approach, as it allows individuals and organizations to stay ahead of potential problems and to take advantage of opportunities. However, there are situations where a reactive approach is necessary, such as when responding to an emergency or crisis situation. Christy dives into how to not allow your triggers to take over and set yourself free.
