Fructose is sweeter than glucose and is often added to processed foods as a sweetener, commonly in the form of high-fructose corn syrup. Some studies suggest that fructose consumption may be associated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and some new research, recently presented at ENDO, addresses this issue. Drew University of Medicine & Science and professor of medicine at University of California, Los Angeles.
