This orientation devotional welcomes students to a new semester at LDS Business College, emphasizing unity, purpose, and the importance of both spiritual and academic growth. Leaders acknowledge the diverse backgrounds and circumstances of students while affirming a shared goal of strengthening faith in Jesus Christ and improving their lives through education.
Throughout the devotional, students are encouraged to actively engage in their learning by taking personal responsibility and putting forth consistent effort. A key theme is “deep learning,” which highlights that true education goes beyond grades and requires accountability, intentional study, and partnership with the Holy Ghost.
Speakers also provide practical guidance for success, including attending class, staying prepared, keeping up with assignments, and participating in weekly devotionals. These devotionals are emphasized as opportunities to receive personal revelation, strengthen spirituality, and find guidance that extends beyond academics.
Overall, the message reassures students that while the journey may be challenging, they are supported by faculty, peers, and the Lord. By embracing change, seeking help when needed, and trusting in divine assistance, students can grow, succeed, and become their best selves.
