The industry has been fanatical about Fanatics since the second-wave sportsbook has started to roll out in the States. What was already an intriguing proposition is turning into some salacious gossip as DraftKings has entered a second bid to compete with Fanatics’s offer to purchase the US arm of PointsBet.

The $195m offer is 30% higher than the one put forth by Fanatics but it is currently non-binding. However, DraftKings has persuaded PointsBet to at least entertain their bid in advance of a 30 June vote by the PointsBet board.
