What if the next big thing in your life doesn’t come from a perfect plan… but from a quiet nudge that simply says, “Make it.”
Cali Black is an author, speaker, podcaster, and scripture-lover—but before the books, podcasts, and study guides, she was a teacher, a young mom, and a woman asking a simple question: “Am I all in?”
That question first took root in eighth grade, when a single verse—“Believe in God” (Mosiah 4:9)—brought a warmth and certainty she knew wasn’t her own. It gave her confidence that God was real, personal, and aware of her.
Years later, while pregnant with her first child and teaching middle school, Cali felt a strong impression not to renew her teaching contract. With no clear plan—but deep sense of peace—she trusted the Lord and stepped into the unknown.
When the Come, Follow Me curriculum launched, another prompting followed: “Make it.” Create what didn’t yet exist. Share scripture study in a way people could actually understand.
Despite doubts, the Lord reminded her: "You’re responsible for your own learning." He gave her the choice—and she chose faith.
What started as an Instagram account (@comefollowmestudy) became a ministry, a business, and a calling. Through books, study guides, podcasts, and resources, Cali now helps thousands feel confident opening their scriptures, finding answers, and receiving personal revelation.
Her life is full—three kids under eight, creative work, and service—but not busy. It’s built little by little, in partnership with God.
Listen to this episode and be reminded that when we study the scriptures with real intent, God meets us there—and invites us to co-create a life filled with purpose, faith, and quiet miracles.
