During her six years of service, Meagan held vital roles as a CPS liaison, school resource officer, and recruiter, but her career—and life—changed forever after surviving a harrowing on-duty shooting.

Attacked and nearly killed by a suspect who later walked free despite overwhelming evidence, Meagan was left to confront the devastating aftermath of the incident and the challenges of failed law enforcement legislation. Medically retired for PTSD, she has transformed her pain into purpose, becoming a powerful voice for first responder mental health and crime victim advocacy.

Most importantly, Meagan is a devoted wife and mother of three, finding strength in her family as she works tirelessly to support others. As the co-chair of the Crime Survivors board and an Executive Board member of the CoverNow Foundation, Meagan is committed to changing the narrative around mental health support for those who serve.
