We welcome to the pod the leadership team of the Eastern Chapter of the Wild Sheep Foundation - Robert Rogan, Doug Bennett and Steve "Quiz" Quisenberry. The Eastern Chapter of the Wild Sheep Foundation is based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and serves members all across the Eastern US and beyond. We talk about the uniqueness of a Chapter that literally has no wild sheep in its backyard and why its members are so engaged.
We also discuss the goings on at the Chapter from fundraisers to projects and beyond. The funds raised by the good people at Eastern support wild sheep projects all across North America including projects right here in BC. Eastern has been involved most recently with our South Thompson and Kamloops Lake collaring project providing generous support through their Grant In Aid program.
We also dive into the importance of youth and supporting the future sheep hunters in our midst. AND of course, we talk sheep hunting. We get a chance to touch base with all three gents and their accomplishments in the sheep world, on and off the mountain. We learn a thing or two from Quiz when we hear how he was able to knock out his FNAWS in under one year - with a little bit of luck and a ton of hard work.
