Yet closing September, all narratives were flipped as FTSE100 giant Flutter triggers a €140m investment in MaxBet to lead its Balkans expansion.
 
Just two days later, Flutter re-emerges as a suitor to acquire Italy’s PlanetWin365 – in what analysts believe will likely be a multi-million shootout against Playtech and Lottomatica.
