It's Gary's birthday month! To celebrate, this month our theme is... Gary! Well, specifically, the entire month of August is going to consist of movies that Gary has picked himself. Justin had no say in any of 'em!
What movies has Gary always wanted to talk about the podcast in the nearly three years we've been doing this, but we've never gotten around to? Well, this month, you're gonna find out!
And to kick things off, we're talking about a movie that's not only from the year of Gary's birth, but one directed by his favorite director, John Carpenter. This week, we're discussing 1981's ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK!
We're joined by our old pal Todd A. Davis (writer/comedian) to discuss this seminal film in Carpenter's career. As we always, we'll delve into the film's origins (Richard Nixon is involved!) and discuss its ongoing legacy as a cult film.
And how could we not nominate this one for the Psychotronic Hall of Fame? Let us know if you think it deserves to go in!
