Just when you thought we’d gone as far as we could go with the “Long Range 100_” series, Chris Wienche and Mitchell Fitzpatrick from Applied Ballistics showed up and opened our eyes to a whole new layer of long range shooting and understanding of ballistics. Chances are, if you shoot any sort of long range, you use a ballistics calculator. The beauty in using one of these calculators is all the work has already been done for you and you don’t need to be a ballistician to hit the target. Long before you even hit the range, though, someone does have to crunch all those numbers and take every ballistic variable into account – bullet shape, weight, drag, air density, temperature, ballistic jump, spin drift, when a projectile goes transonic, and so much more it would make your head spin! Speaking of heads spinning, that just might be what happens when you tune in to this one. You’ve been warned! Put your nerd cap on and enjoy some pure science flowing right into your ear holes.
