Tyler joined the United States Army out of Virginia in 2007. Upon completion of United States Army Airborne School, he was stationed in Fort Bragg, Georgia, with the 82nd Airborne as an infantry paratrooper. Tyler deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was promoted to sergeant in 2011 and was honorably discharged in 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Tyler served in the National Guard and earned a bachelor’s degree in homeland security and terrorism studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. In 2016, he graduated from the Police Academy in Daytona Beach and has been a law enforcement officer in the Central Florida area ever since. Tyler is a certified field training officer and has served on the SWAT team and Street Crimes Unit. In 2021, he started Refractive Wolf Apparel, an American outdoor apparel line.

In 2021, Tyler created Anti-Hero Broadcast, which focuses on finding the truth, outing toxic government leadership, and combating the wave of political correctness plaguing the military and first responder community. In 2023, he founded Shell Shock, an annual PTSD charity and awareness concert in Orlando, Florida. All proceeds are donated to select nonprofit organizations that help warriors struggling with PTSD.
