Do you have a love/hate relationship with exercise? (Or maybe even a hate/hate relationship?) Then this episode is for you! Our guest this week is Annie Mosher. She's a personal trainer and holistic healer that will help you think differently about how to take care of your body. Get ready to be inspired!
OUR GUEST:
Annie Mosher is a trauma-informed bodywork specialist and Drug and Alcohol Counselor in Supervision in the state of Tennessee. She brings a deeply integrative, compassionate approach to addiction recovery, grounded in the belief that healing occurs when the body, mind, and spirit are all welcomed into the process.
Annie began her work in substance use disorder recovery years ago as a trauma-informed personal trainer and bodywork specialist through the American Council on Exercise. As her practice evolved, she became a behavior change specialist, supporting clients in exploring the root causes of their patterns, pain, and desires in order to create meaningful and lasting change. For the past seven years, Annie has worked within recovery residences, offering individual and group fitness, experiential healing, and somatic support. Her work weaves together reiki, breath and body awareness, goal setting, and strength and flexibility work to help clients reconnect with safety, agency, and vitality in their bodies.
Compassion is at the heart of Annie’s practice. She approaches each client as a whole and limitless being—unique, resilient, and worthy of care. Attending to the individual needs of each client’s body and spirit is foundational to her work, both in addiction recovery and in life beyond it.
