In April 2006, six members of the Wise family suddenly went silent. The family patriarch, Jesse Lee Wise, Sr., who was on a business trip, knew that something must be wrong when his wife, Emily Wise, wasn’t answering his calls. The only person in their household of eight who answered his calls was his grandson, Jesse Dee Wise.
