What are your passions?

Are you in business to just chase money or do you enjoy what you do? Yes, we all want to make money, lots of it, but it’s a short-term fix. You need to make it a passion for the long haul. 

Ryan shares his experience in this week’s episode of how through trial, he found his true passion of creating content for people. Yes, he went through offering the full service to clients, to basically break even given the time involved. So, he said no to distribution, but yes to content creation for his clients. This helped him form the true business he loves to do at full throttle.

One of the hardest things to do in business is say no. The fear is there of guessing where the next job will be. Ultimately, if you’re miserable in what you’re doing, it’s an inevitable road to shitty business and relationships. Money doesn’t buy happiness may sound cliché, but it’s never been truer!

Mike also shares his trials and tribulations of his consulting business. He too, just like many, has started somewhere, adjusted to whom his niche clients are and the value that he offers at a certain price point. You’ve got to find a happy medium of creating a living and being passionate about what you do.

What are you doing within your business that you enjoy? You may like to talk to people and are in sales, but hate doing the operations and admin. It’s a necessary part of running a business, but in order to scale, you may need to let go, hire someone and take less money in the short term.
