In episode 31 of Brown Water Banter, Joey and I talk with J.j. Brumble about being a boat captain. J.j. grew up in Florida and started working in the charter boat business. He started out as a deck hand and moved his way up to running his own charter boat. J.j eventually moved on from charter boats and is now the captain of a supply boat in the oil and gas industry. We talk about how his career has progressed, the different types of captain’s licenses that are available in his industry and what its like to be on a boat away from your family for extended periods of time.
