Businesses and life in general is opening back up, at least in our region regarding the stages. This week Ryan and Mike are talking about what businesses are doing in terms of advertising and messaging.
A lot of the messages to your marketplace should be about what you have done, what you are doing and generally welcoming them back to yourself and business. Moving forward, they discuss strategy when posting on social media. In terms of Facebook, if you are not putting any money behind it, people will not see it. You don’t have to spend much in order to get a quality message across. It does not have to be a “buy me” message, it can be educational which long term will help solidify your brand as a credible resource.
They discuss the purposes of various platforms. For example, people go to Google to get conversions. However, with pay per click, Ryan discusses his specific strategy. He does not go after the masses in order be on top, but rather he wants to be 1st on top when he brackets key words or phrases when someone is searching for something supe specific near them. Those people in their minds are ready able and motivated buyers. The brand awareness and who you are is all done organically in other platforms (FB, Instagram). You may miss the masses, but you can spend little and show up big on the list but getting granular.
Their advice to you is to take the guess work out and go to ads.google.com and work on the ad planner to find out what words people are searching for monthly, start there.
Next have a budget in mind. Stick to a minimal amount if first starting out, but yes put marketing dollars behind the messages! Be creative and unique but more importantly be seen!
