It’s all about Latin America for the latest episode of iGaming Daily, supported by Optimove. Fernando Noodt, Senior Journalist for SBC Noticias, is joined by Lucía Gando, Editor of SBC Noticias, and Isadora Marcante, SBC's Relationship Manager for Brazil, to look at the latest news coming from the region.

The show starts in Brazil where the senate is set to vote on the return of legalised land-based casinos, a sector that has been banned since 1946. The trio discuss the potential financial impact of the change and why the online sector is supportive of the return of the land-based casinos.

Staying in Brazil, they then move on to talk about the reaction to President Lula’s comments by the industry. As covered previously on the show, Lula warned that he may end online betting and gaming in the country if the new regulations do not achieve the results expected by the government.

Attention then turns to the “blooming” market in Ecuador where the government has again authorised advertising of the gambling and betting sector throughout the country via Executive Decree 421. Fernando, Lu and Isa discuss how this could help develop the gambling market in Ecuador.

Finally, there is a shout out for the latest edition of the SBC Leaders Magazine which features interviews with industry executives in Brazil, Ecuador and elsewhere.
