The October 1, 2023 episode of CASCADE OF HISTORY on SPACE 101.1 FM is an encore of our VJ Day live remote broadcast, and is a deep dive on the history and historical significance of Seattle High School Memorial Stadium - the entire 1947 stadium, not just the 1951 wall of names.

This coming Wednesday, October 4, 2023 the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board will complete a task begun in August: to decide the future of this memorial structure, built in 1947 to honor the sacrifice and celebrate the lives of nearly 800 Seattle Public School alums who died in World War II.

There’s still time to submit written comments by Tuesday, October 3, and to sign up to make comments in person or online during the Landmarks Preservation Board meeting beginning at 3:30pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
