Chuck started betting horses at just eight years old — growing up in 1960's and 70's Queens, surrounded by bookies, loan sharks, and number runners. After his first rock bottom, he stopped and gambled "occasionally," without any issues. However, starting in 2020, he went back to his old destructive ways. At his lowest moment, after losing hundreds of thousands of dollars, Chuck called the problem gambling hotline — and Adam was the one who answered. That moment led him to a meeting in Rhode Island, and eventually, to recovery.
