BSS Podcast Ep. 45 – When to pivot in your business
Chances are if you’ve been in or apart of a business for at least 5-10 years, you’ve had to go through some type of pivot. You’ve had to adapt to a changing marketplace, technology, or mindset in order to keep the momentum moving forward.
This week Ryan and I are talking about what it takes to change direction in your business. You need to get out of the box and execute. They discuss that often, it’s not creativity holding them back but self-execution. People get held back from the anxiety of taking the first step! The stress and anticipation seem more overwhelming than the actual reality of it happening.
They share their experiences of just having to jump into the fire and learn on the way. Go through the process of ‘what’s the worst that can happen?’ Will your business be better 60,90,120 + days down the line? Perhaps the real problem would be if you are wildly successful after implementation?
The bottom line is sometimes the simplest task of just trying something will take you in a new direction for the better. If it’s not, it’s okay because you learned something from it, and pulled the plug before it became detrimental. Ultimately, it’s your job to adjust with how you do business with people as timelines and worlds evolve.
