BSS Podcast Ep. 69 – How to get into a flow state for business owners
This week Mike and Ryan broadcast from the WinRate Consulting retreat that took place a few weeks ago. They both sit down to discuss how important it can be to get into that ‘flow state’ or concentrated zone, where distractions are minimized, and work or creativity is poured out of you.
Mike shares that his flow state is very driven by the location and surrounding environment. It needs to be a clutter-free desk area, very routine and systematic. Yes, adjustments are made from time to time, but he sets his schedule up so that certain triggers, result in him doing certain tasks, such as prospecting or reading, or the desired activity.
Ryan is most effective for his highest-level task’s, early morning or late afternoon into the evening. Whereas mid-morning, concentration levels are a bit different, so his video and photography creative shoots are scheduled during these times.
They both agree, structure or a routine that is set for your day, is super helpful when setting yourself up for success to be locked in the zone.
Schedule your time, set the routine, limit distractions, set your environment and DO THE WORK!
Do you have a trigger or routine to set yourself up to be hyper-focused in order to get shit done?!
