Our special guest, Tonya Raybon, joins us to discuss her experience with the Enneagram. Tonya has worked extensively with me, participating in retreats, one-on-one sessions, and couple's workshops. She shares her insights as a social Enneagram Type 2, also known as "The Helper," and we explore the nuances of her tri-type, 2-6-8, which is referred to as "The Rescuer."

Throughout the episode, we tackle the challenges of setting boundaries, especially for Enneagram Type 2s who are naturally inclined to say "yes" and accommodate others. We emphasize the importance of pausing before committing to tasks and asking oneself if the action would still be a "yes" even without external appreciation or reciprocation.

Tonya and I also discuss strategies for understanding and interacting with loved ones through the lens of the Enneagram. We highlight the significance of the three centers of intelligence (instinctual, feeling, and thinking) and how recognizing these can improve communication and relationships within families, including with children and grandchildren.

Finally, we touch on Tonya's podcast, "Perfectly Blended," which focuses on the complexities of blended family life and the continuous blending of roles that women often navigate.
