Dr. Joanne Block Rief is a third generation dentist practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in Owings Mills, Md. She began her career in dentistry when she was 13 years old, helping out in her dad's dental practice. After graduating with her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene, she decided to go to dental school and graduated from U of Md dental school in 1986. She worked for her father for 18 years before buying her own small practice. In the past 14 years she has grown that practice, moved the practice and expanded the practice. She has more than quadrupled the number of patients and her collections are more than 5 times from when she bought the practice in 2005 while maintain a low overhead. Her motto is that she does not just work in her practice, she works on her practice.
