We’re back in the saddle with the premiere of Season 5, and in keeping with our Aronofsky tradition, we kick off the season by doing some long division to try to find the end result of Pi. Did this film indirectly influence The Matrix? What’s going on with those ants? And why did so many metal bands from the early 2000s sample this movie? We’ll get to the bottom of all of that, plus we’ll discuss the theory that Mark Margolis is a vampire, the laws regarding wearing a hat in your dreams, the strange distribution rights to Phantasm II, and so much more. And to top it all off, we’ll introduce our new permanent co-host (and fantastic past guest) Nathan Simmons. It’s about to get weird, y’all.
