Episode 112 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features Beck Warm who has quickly moved this season from a successful WHL career through his first AHL deal and now has earned an NHL contract with the Carolina Hurricanes
In the feature interview, presented by Sense Arena we hear from Warm who pushed past being undrafted into Major Junior Hockey to play his first game there at 15. Then passed by in the NHL draft, he earned an AHL deal with the Chicago Wolves this season, quickly adapting to the pro game and posting a 5-1 record with a 2.02 GAA and a .944 SV% to earn an NHL contract with the Carolina Hurricanes who recently called him up to their taxi squad. At 6-foot tall he may have been overlooked by some but Warm’s dedication and attention to every detail in his training and preparation helped him show that the only thing that matters is stopping the puck.
InGoal first met Warm through the Net 360 goaltending camps run by Alpha Hockey where as a 16-year old he got the opportunity to rte mentored by many pros, including his now-teammate in Carolina, James Reimer. We know you’ll find this a fascinating listen with lessons on all aspects of the game for goaltenders of all ages.
All that, plus another trip to The Hockey Shop where Cam and Woody provide a first look at the new Bauer Hyperlite gear featuring a new knee, even more active rebounds and a new flex profile, two name just a few changes to this great new gear.
