This past week has held such a steep learning curve—but it’s work I’m willing to do and committed to doing for the long haul.

I know that I’m a white woman. I know that this episode is through a white lens, a white perspective, because it’s coming from me. But if it’s something that can act as a mirror for you to reflect on your own past experiences, then it’s worth sharing. Even if it’s imperfect. Even if I don’t use the correct terminology. Even if it’s painful and uncomfortable to call myself (and my race) out...

This conversation is important and needs to be had.

I’m not here for “but this is how it’s always been done”. That time is LONG gone, thank the heavens for that. I’m here to shine a light on our biases. To consider new ways of thought. To shift the paradigm. To seed light all over this beautiful planet. To remind us all that LOVE is the language. To poke and prod until you remember who you really are. We are HUMAN.
