Libbie Janse van Rensburg is a South African union rugby player. I had the chance to sit down with her a few days after they returned from an incredible World Cup tournament in London. We got into all of it, when she started playing rugby, where she grew up as well as my mission to get the women's team there own new name and identity:

Here's some more info on Libbie's amazing career so far.
She made her international XV debut in 2021 and has since become South Africa’s all-time leading points scorer in women’s test rugby, first surpassing 100 test points and then 200.
Libbie is known for her excellent game management, accurate kicking (including rare drop goals), and her ability to influence key moments under pressure. She has received multiple honors: she was the first woman to be named TuksRugby Player of the Year (2023), and also South Africa’s Women’s Player of the Year.
Off the field, Libbie holds an honours degree in Sports Management from the University of Pretoria, and is passionate about growing women’s rugby in South Africa — inspiring young players, and looking ahead to stay involved off-the-field when her playing days wind down.
