Episode 122 of The Adventure Podcast features glaciologist and science advocate, Dr Heidi Sevestre. Heidi invests a lot of her time in science policy and science outreach, believing that scientists and researchers have the duty to communicate about their work and tell the world about the wonders of the cryosphere and the threats targeting it. Matt met Heidi on an expedition to Greenland this summer for National Geographic. They became close friends quickly, and her passion and enthusiasm for her subject matter was obvious from the first second. She’s an incredibly talented expedition field scientist, and is at the cutting edge of glacier and climate science.
