We knew it, we bloody knew it! We’ve been waiting for Williams to make the 2018 driver announcement for weeks and they go and do it on a Tuesday morning after we recorded the show on Monday night.

If this week’s podcast sounds a little disjointed, it’s because we did an impromptu recording about the Williams news to drop in (thanks to Sian for stepping in for that one). After they confirmed today that former Renault 3rd driver Sergey Sirotkin would be Lance Stroll’s team mate for the 2018 season with the returning Robert Kubica filling the role of test and reserve driver (why does this always happen on a Tuesday?)

Also on this week’s show we’ve got a news round up with rumours of a Danish Grand Prix, the new intake in the Renault Driver Academy and a tribute to the late, great Dan Gurney who sadly passed away this week and loads more besides.
