This week instead of wrapping up the year like every other podcast we decided to really roll up our sleeves and get into some grimy stuff. Jack spent several years with a brave police officer from Ballarat named Denis Ryan recounting the story of the catholic mafia - a collusion between Victoria Police and the catholic church which gave one of the most awful people in Australian history, Monsignor John Day a free license to abuse children on a scale that is literally sickening.

Now, we warn our listeners that this one's a heavy one. But we also insist it's an important part of Australian history that must be discussed.

But, in textbook TRCP style, we then look at the conspiracy universe and how absolute deadshits make light of the most heinous crime of all - interfering with children - as some kind of chapter in their inane and incredibly annoying participatory conspiracy universe. Pizzagate, frazzledrip, mole children and adrenochrome. All of these things take away from the legitimate suffering of actual victims. That's when we stick the boot in. It's a cathartic release after a very heavy hour of chat.
