Episode 186 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features a conversation with Hunter Miska, now playing for Straubing Tigers in the German DEL.
In the feature interview, presented by Sense Arena, Miska, who played the last three seasons in the Colorado Avalanche system, talks about a wide range of topics including his start in the game, early influences as the son of one of the most well-know mask painters in the game, his first NHL games and his ongoing development as a goaltender. Despite meeting many of the men his father painted for (Backstroke, Fernandez, Kiprusoff, Nabokov to name a few) Miska didn’t start playing goal until freshman year when he made the varsity squad for his Minnesota high school team, and had little coaching before making his way to the US NTDP in only his third year as a goaltender.
We know you’ll enjoy this interview as much as we did with lots to learn for goalies, coaches and goalie parents!
All that, plus our weekly plus a trip to The Hockey Shop Source for Sports as Cam and Woody look at the new True HZRDUS sticks/ The PX being the lightest - and most expensive - stick on the market and the 7X a feature-filled second price point option.
