Episode 193 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features a fantastic conversation with Abbie Ives of the Connecticut Whale in the PHF.

In the feature interview, presented by Sense Arena, Ives shares great insights and advice from her path to professional hockey, one that started with just playing for fun (and because her dad was a goalie) until getting more serious at age 13. The 24-year-old, who was  how she skated any time she could get on the ice, whether it was crease movement at drop in skates or filling in for her dad at beer league, to play her way into college hockey at Quinnipiac, and now the PHF. Ives has some great thoughts on how to teach and develop patience on the skates, and shares how she uses Sense Arena (more than any other goalie in the world) to get ready for games and practices, as well as where the women's game is headed at the pro level and the improvements she's seeing in the PHF this season.
