Rob was living in a contractor tent city in Beaumont after Hurricane Ike. One weekend, after heavy drinking and partying with neighbors who had moonshine and cocaine, he headed to his truck. As he walked, he experienced a strange sneeze-like sensation, lost consciousness, and fell.
He awoke in a brilliant white light, feeling pure love and peace as all negativity lifted from him. Rob saw his mother, first wife, and others. When he asked, "Is this how it really feels?" they said, "Yes, it's wonderful." They told him he had to return but assured him they’d be watching over him.
Rob then regained consciousness, feeling the oppressive weight of this world. The experience left him convinced that this life is ruled by evil, but he now fears no death, knowing something far better awaits. Despite doubts from others, Rob is certain what he felt was real—pure goodness and the presence of God.
