In answer to a question about 'what constitutes a woman' Kier Starmer recently said 'let me start by saying the blindingly obvious, 99.9 something percent of women it's all biological'. We take a look at the model of gender Kier's statement endorses and consider the implications; we think about different models of gender, talk aboout the language of gender and, of course, ponder how we can best endorse a model of gender in which everyone to find a place to belong.
