In this episode I overuse the words "excited" and "opportunity" to describe being asked to join the Waypoint Collective. Joining a collective is the latest in a lifetime of things I thought I'd never do: I'd never be a teacher, I'd never move back to Alaska, I'd never have a podcast that was bigger than a small, ad-less ramble.
I close with a memory of being in 29 Palms for my brother's return from a deployment in Iraq. There were a few signs in memory of the men who were killed. Every Memorial Day the image of those posters comes back up in my memory.
