Not every A24 horror flick is a slam dunk. Such is the case with Love Lies Bleeding director Rose Glass’s first film Saint Maud. Despite a fantastic lead performance and incredible imagery, the movie spends 80 minutes spinning its wheels before suddenly revealing an explosive ending that almost makes up for the lack of story that came before it - but not quite.
