It was a franchise that critics turned their noses up at and movie snobs rolled their eyes at, but Twilight proved all of them wrong at the box office. When it comes to the movie itself, however, they may have been proven right. A Mormon’s tale of yearning and romance is actually a cautionary tale of gaslighting and abusive behavior. If you loved this one as a teen, you may be surprised at how it plays nearly twenty years later.
