Karissa Schweizer is on fire! She just broke the American Record in the 3K at the BU Last Chance Invitational. She ran a time of 8:25.70 – followed by her teammates Shelby Houlihan and Colleen Quigley who also broke there record Karissa got there first though and now she is an American Record Holder!

Karissa runs for Nike with the Bowerman Track Club under Coach Jerrry Schumacher. This is her second year with the team and 2020 is off to a great start, along with grabbing that 3K American Record, she has also run a mile PR (4:24). Was 2nd in the 3k and 3rd in the 1500 at USA indoors.

Before joining the Bowerman team, she ran for The University of Missouri where she was a 6- Time NCAA Champion – walking away from the school as the most decorated female athlete of all time.

Karissa brings a lot of positive energy to this conversation and you’l hear that when you listen! My biggest takeaway- Anything can happen!!
