A 2015 Gallup poll revealed that 50% of all employees are unclear about the expectations for their jobs. That’s 50% of Americans showing up to work every day and crossing their fingers, hoping that they are doing the right thing.

I want to ask you an important question. In which 50% of that poll do your teachers fall? Now, before you quickly answer that question, I want you to think about this quote from George Bernard Shaw: “The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.”

Most of us are fairly certain that we have very clear expectations for our teachers and that we have effectively communicated those expectations to our teachers. Are you 100% sure that’s the case?
