Dan Hoffmann is a seasoned finance professional leading value-based transformation for clients and IBM, leveraging experience as both a previous corporate finance leader within IBM finance and now as a consulting leader in IBM’s finance strategy practice. Dan has driven some of IBM finance’s largest transformations including IBM’s agile operating model and, most recently, IBM’s technical re-platforming for sales and delivery. Dan’s recent focus has been on maximizing SAP transformations for large enterprises through driving an overall finance transformation strategy, roadmap, and business case for clients to ensure maximum value is realized in their SAP journey. Currently, Dan is driving a fully integrated technology landscape for IBM and IBM clients by bringing SAP together with other key technologies while infusing AI / Generative AI to create a seamless and automated user experience.

David possesses over 27 years of experience performing numerous strategic assessments and roadmaps on large impact considerations, especially in SAP S/4HANA. He has supported SAP on many pursuits and engagements over the last decade including proof-of-concepts, project planning, business case development, and strategic advice. David is an active member of the SAP Central Finance Thought Leadership Summits, an invite-only think tank with the SAP Central Finance solution team. David co-authored: the book “Mastering the SAP Business Information Warehouse” written with Bill Inmon, the “father of data warehousing”; the book “Central Finance and SAP S/4HANA” with SAP Solution Management; and numerous white papers sponsored by SAP.
