Eric is passionate about truck work, leadership, split search, health and fitness and most of all Family. Battalion Chief Eric Wheaton is a second-generation firefighter for the WinterPark (FL) Fire Department and has served with WPFD since 2007. Eric spent the majority of his career on the Truck Company prior to his promotion to Battalion Chief and serves on the Winter Park Fire Department Technical Rescue Team. He is the Owner of VentEnterSearch, LLC. and is an instructor for the Truck Company Operations program at Valencia College Central Florida Fire Institute. Eric has taught at many fire conferences across the country, including FDIC. He also serves as an advisory board member on the UL-FSRI Size-up and search rescue study. Eric has a passion in health and fitness and enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids!
