In this episode of "Rhythms That Restore," I invited my friend and Spiritual Director Allison Bradsher over or a conversation about how we can start this new year slowly, intentionally and we talk about what it looks like when we "Say Yes to the next invitation from God" in 2025.
Allison, is a personal Spiritual Director and she is a co-founder of the Retreat House in Memphis, shares her journey and insights on how to nurture our inner life and care for our souls.
We discuss the significance of the new year as a time for reflection and growth, using winter as a metaphor for our own inner "heart" work. We talk about having curiosity over our need to fix, growing our capacity for the uncomfortable in life and practices of subtraction in order to create more space.
Our key themes include saying yes to God's invitations in this new year, the importance of silence, balancing inner and outer life, and embracing unique spiritual journeys.
The episode encourages us to create space for God and engage in practices that foster spiritual development.
