The best player of this era of pass rushers retired. A new No. 1 has emerged to seize Aaron Donald's place on this list. But without a doubt this is the most talent we’ve seen at the pass rusher position in NFL history.  Linebackers patrol the second level of the field, and are asked to both lay the lumber on running backs, and cover pass-catchers downfield. Not many are efficient in both, but those that do both make special weapons for their respective defenses.
