I’m super excited to chat with Priscilla Tallman, a mental performance coach and retired pro volleyball player. Priscilla has an incredible background, having trained over 500 athletes and teams. You might remember her from episode 473, where we dove into the conversation around mental performance for young athletes. She’s also the author of the 30 Day Champions Journal and the Return to Play Journal. With her experience as a former pro athlete and a master’s in clinical psychology, she’s all about helping current and former athletes sharpen their mental skills and mindset for success in every aspect of life.
Her son, Joaquin, joined us on this episode. He is 16 years old and an avid mountain biker. He currently races enduro and is making the shift to downhill racing. It’s such a heartwarming conversation between mother and son, and I couldn’t help but think how proud I’d be if I were his mom.
We cover topics like raising independent kids, supporting young athletes, and the importance of mindset. I really hope you all enjoy this conversation as much as I did!
