Opening Bible verse: Matthew 5:14-16

As women we oftentimes feel like our success comes at another woman's expense.  That's just not true.  In today's Bible passage, we are clearly given instructions from Jesus to let our light shine, to share our gifts with others.  When we light our lamps, it allows for another woman to find her own wick, to see her own path more clearly.  Sharing our flame with her doesn't diminish our own light, it doubles the amount of light in the room.  

The Dalai Lama has said, "The world will be saved by the Western woman." We are being called, ladies.  Imagine a world where every family had a woman strong in faith and trusting that God will lead her.  More than ever, our daughters need us to step into the woman God has created us to be. To light our lamps and to put them up on the lamp stand for all to see.
