In this episode, we’re sitting down with professional marathoner Annie Frisbie, who runs for Puma and has been with them since 2021. Annie made her marathon debut that same year at the 2021 New York City Marathon, where she ran an impressive 2:26:18 and finished in seventh place. I’m not sure why it took me this long to get Annie on the podcast, but I’m so glad we finally made it happen!
Annie’s been recovering from a hamstring injury after the Chicago Marathon this past fall, where she ran a solid 2:27:52. But now, she’s gearing up for her second Boston Marathon, and I can’t wait to see how she tackles that iconic course a second time around. We all know how much we learn from our first time running Boston, so it’ll be interesting to hear about what she’s doing differently this year.
Annie trains with the Minnesota Distance Elite team, alongside one of our favorites, Dakota Lindwurm, who’s also a great friend and training partner of Annie’s. Before her professional career, Annie ran for Iowa State, and we get into that a bit too. It was such a pleasure to sit down and chat with Annie, and I think you’ll enjoy getting to know her in this episode.
