The word "gospel" means "good news.” While we refer to the first four books of the New Testament as "the Gospels," there is really only one gospel. From the moment angels heralded the good news of Jesus' birth to His ascension into heaven—where He promised the coming of a Comforter—these four accounts together illuminate the greatest story ever told.
In contrast, our world today often feels overwhelmed by bad news. We don’t know whose version of the bad news we can even trust. Yet, amidst the chaos, we know God's Word is true and it’s forever settled in heaven. It will be standing firm when all else has fallen and failed. We can be grateful that His Word is unchanging, and that it brings us the ultimate GOOD NEWS.
