I hadn't been on skis since I was a freshman in high school, but my first backcountry touring adventure in Wyomings Medicine Bow National Forest was a success. I learned that it's nothing like anything I've done before, that I'm pretty bad at it, but I got better and really had a good time. I also talk about the best places to offer and the worst.
