The fear of public speaking is often cited as a fear greater than death. 

 

But when you peel back the layers on what that’s REALLY about … it’s not being scared of public speaking. It’s being scared of being rejected. Of being thought stupid. Of being disliked. 

Kate Toon is my guest this week and with 15 years of business experience sitting snugly in her gym tights, 40 speaking events in just one year, and a resident expert on Kochie’s Business Builders, she has confronted this fear over and over again. And, as she explains in our chat, while she’s not necessarily ‘confident’ in being disliked, she’s got some great strategies to get herself on stages, on TV and on billboards anyway.
